Apple Bottom Jean Girls Story

It was the fall of 2016 when we lost a dear friend and co-worker Vicki. Our workplace was devastated by the loss of a wonderful human being to leukemia. Vicki was compassionate, fun, and giving. She always had time to ask how you were really doing and her smile could brighten anyone’s day. Myself and my co-workers wanted to do something to keep her memory alive and help others as she had always done. We had heard of the Light the Night Walk and signed up as the Apple Bottom Jean Girls. Our team name alone is a special tribute to Vicki as we cherish the memories of her dancing and the good times we shared.

Light the Night continues to bring our staff together and we are proud of the money we have raised to support blood cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. It is our hope that the ongoing research will provide better treatments and a cure.

Essentially, the Light the Night Walk brings us all together!

Do you have a story to tell?

As a supporter, in memory, or as a survivor… share with others why you are helping end blood cancers by participating in a Light the Night Walk
