Blood cancer took the life of my 24 year old son. He fought a two year battle and I was certain he would be cured. He went through lots of chemo & radiation treatments and two stem cell transplants. But it was not to be! I miss my son every day and it is especially heart wrenching during special occasions and family get togethers. He never had the chance to meet his first nephew or to have his only children.

I walk in memory of my son Brendan. I'm honouring Brendan's wishes that his family and friends raise money for Lymphoma research, so that cure rates can be improved!

I was able to reach the $5,000 fundraising milestone through generous donations from family, friends and co-workers as well as the awesome fundraising done by Brendan's friends!

Light the Night is my way to honour my son and his wishes that family and friends raise money to support blood cancer research. I hope fewer families will lose a loved one as better treatments become available thanks to new research funded by LLSC.

Many Canadians are impacted by blood cancer and the death rates are still too high. We need to support new research so we can find a cure, or at least improve cure rates.
