Engaging and strategic, Jayne is driven to lead people and companies holistically. As President of Paul Davis Halifax, a restoration company serving HRM, Jayne's passion has always been to foster the infinite development of her team, setting individuals in the direction of their own dreams.
Jayne took over the Paul Davis franchise along with a suite of related companies in 2009 and has led these companies through many strategic changes, tripling growth and driving profitability. In 2020, she directed the sale of her Paul Davis Cape Breton location to a long time female employee, accomplishing a career long dream to advance other Nova Scotian women in business.
A lifelong skier, Jayne suffered a brain injury in 2016, after a ski accident in Fernie, BC, severely impacting her ability to function for many years. This event dramatically changed the way Jayne approached life, and with it, management. Educating and advocating for the health and well-being of her employees and their families is a key function of Jayne's leadership approach. She was proud to ease the burden of the pandemic on her team by welcoming all children to the office, including her infant son.
Jayne is a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University where she earned a Bachelor of Public Relations, after which she travelled the world extensively. In 2014 she was among 17 inspiring graduates of the Executive MBA program at the Sobeys' School of Business (Saint Mary's University). Her time spent living among different cultures continues to inform her perspective on humanity. Jayne loves to salsa dance, swim and looks forward to teaching her son how to ski.
Jayne's teams have won international awards for customer service and more importantly have supported thousands of local families through the devastating effects of insurance losses. She is honored to volunteer her time as Co-Chair of the LLSC's Light the Night campaign and to galvanize her community in the fight against the tragic effects of blood cancers.
